AquaCrete™ incorporates water-soluble polymers that dramatically increase fresh concrete viscosity and cohesion, preventing cement paste washout and aggregate segregation even in turbulent water velocities up to 1.5 m/s. This maintains mix integrity during tremie or pump placement while allowing self-consolidation without vibration.
Field performance is confirmed through slump flow (>500 mm), box test (no segregation), and washout resistance per ACI 304.2R guidelines, with core samples tested for compressive strength (typically exceeding design by 15-25%) and bond to existing substrate. Chloride penetration resistance meets marine durability requirements (CSA S413).
Tremie pipe with bottom-discharge gates or underwater pumping through 100-125 mm lines; suitable for water velocities 0.3-1.5 m/s depending on flow distance and reinforcement density. Continuous placement avoids cold joints, with maximum lift heights 1.5-2.0 m for self-leveling without voids.
